Michael Wahrmann is a director, screenwriter and editor. Israeli – Uruguayan, living in São Paulo since 2004. He began working as an artist and photographer in 2000. In 2007 he graduated from the FAAP Cinema School in Sao Paulo, Brasil. GRANDMOTHERS, his first short film, premiered at the 60th International Berlin Film Festival, received over 40 awards in Brazil and abroad. Among his other films, are OMA 2011, Best Film at Las Palmas IFF, Spain, among others and his first feature film, AVANTI POPOLO (Best Film, CineMAXXI, ROME IFF, Best Director Brasilia FF). Michael is currently teaching direction at the AIC Academy and developing his new projects, ROSA F.C (fic) and WHERE ELEPHANTS DIE (Doc).
