Rialto - World Cinema Amsterdam (Holanda)

"Rialto is a arthouse cinema in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, that has a strong focus on World Cinema, the best quality independent filmmaking from Latim America, Asia and Africa. In August every year we organize an international film festival, World Cinema Amsterdam. We do this with many partners and friends everywhere in the world, among these the Director's Week and its artistic director Lis Kogan. In 2012 the especial focus country was Brasil. With 13 feature films, 8 shorts and 5 music documentaries we have shown the best of contemporary Brazilian Cinema to the Dutch audiences. Rialto and World Cinema Amsterdam would like to continue this strong cooperation by presenting one of the 2012 Director's Week competing feature films during our 2013 season in the city of Amsterdam."

In our first year as partner, Rialto's curator will chose one of the features in competition to be a part of their programming, either in the next edition of World Cinema Amsterdam, or as a special screening for Amsterdam audience.

Distrital, Cine y Otros Mundos (México).

Distrital, Cine y Otros Mundos is a festival created for the audiences of Mexico City with the intent of providing an aesthetical experience that goes beyond the screen, projecting a common ground between cinema and the other realms in visual arts. Distrital is seen as one of the most anticipated and assertive spaces for cinema by the audiences of Mexico City.”

In this third year as a partner of Directors’ Week, the next edition of Distrital festival will screen the winner of the Best Feature Film awarded by the 5th Directors’ Week official jury. Distrital, Cine y Otros Mundos will take place between June 3rd and 8th, 2014.

Festival Cinematográfico Internacional delUruguay

"The Festival Cinematográfico Internacional del Uruguay was created by the Uruguayan cinemateque in 1981. From that modest festival, which screened 14 films in only one movie theater, to its current edition, featuring over 250 films in seven movie theaters as well as travelling screenings, 32 years of discoveries, tributes, retrospectives and parallel film exhibitions have gone by. In this journey, the festival has become a privileged place for high quality Latin American and world cinema."
In this third year as a partner, the Festival will screen the winner of the Best Feature Film awarded by the 5th Directors’ Week official jury.

The Festival Cinematográfico Internacional del Uruguay will take place between April 10th and 20th, 2014.

IndieLisboa (Portugal)

"IndieLisboa is an international film festival held annually in Lisbon since 2004. It features films from all genres and formats. Its program includes films by national and foreign directors, whose selection is based on originality, quality and relevance. These films reach the general public and the industry professionals for the first time through the festival, which takes place in several Lisbon cultural centers, promoting urban dynamics of these cultural centers, that is, circulation of people and appropriation of the city. These have been the cause of the audience growth and diversification since its first edition. In 2013, the festival had a record number of entries: 3.968 titles, including short and feature films from around the world. "

In its first year as a partner of Directors’ Week, IndieLisboa will screen one of the competing feature films, selected by its curatorial staff.
