Origin of the World

Dir: Moa Batsow
65' . Digital . 2015 . RJ

Through the eyes of traditional culture, folklore and legends, Origin of the World seeks to rescue and reveal Brazilian pre-historic inscriptions. It is a glance at the origins of Brazil’s history as told by elder men in the countryside. They have maintained the oral tradition passed on throughout centuries in small, reclusive groups. The texts are from Bernardo Silva Ramos, a pioneer in the discovery and interpretation of pre-historic art.
